Agent for Trustee services are provided by a trust company to the Trustee of a trust. The trust company acts as an agent to assist with the trust administration. Perhaps someone has named you as the Trustee of a trust they have created. It is now your responsibility to safeguard the assets or property in the trust, preserve their value, manage their administration and make distributions to the trust beneficiaries. You may feel that you don’t have the knowledge, time or emotional energy to take on this responsibility and don’t wish to assume the associated legal liability.
